Whether construction machinery, precast concrete parts, crane ballast or other machine parts - the DTS 300 three-axle lowbed trailer from Fliegl is the ideal trailer for heavy and extra-wide loads.
Only 860 millimeters is the loading height in the drop deck, one of the lowest on the market. The floor consists of 70-millimeter-thick softwood planks made of larch, where the coefficient of friction is higher than with hardwood, important when loading tracked excavators, for example. For ventilation, the floor is laid with gaps between the planks, so it dries faster. A narrow crossbeam spacing, in combination with the strong planks, allows for particularly high point loading.
For loads with excess width, steel extensions can be pulled out at the side of the frame, on which planks can also be placed - this results in a loading area up to 3 meters wide. The additional planks required for this are stored in a storage compartment in the center of the low-loader. There are matching pull-out warning signs on the drive-on ramps, which are mandatory in the event of excess width.
The one-piece steel ramps, 2.8 meters long and 75 centimeters wide, are also fitted with thick larch wood; the ramps themselves are hot-dip galvanized and optimally protected against corrosion. They can be individually moved sideways hydraulically, the two hydraulic cylinders are located behind the ramps and are thus protected from damage. Tungsten carbide bushings on the ramp hinges ensure a long service life, without the hinges failing.
Many different loads require diverse load securing options. The DTS 300 offers plenty of them: 8 lashing holes in the outer frame, each with a tensile force of 5 tons, 14 lashing mushrooms at the top and sides of the outer frame, each with a tensile force of 10 tons; they are supplemented by two lashing cutouts in the longitudinal beam at the front on the cranked section, each with a tensile force of 10 tons. In addition, there are a further 10 ring lashing eyes with a tensile force of 5 metric tons in the outer frame; they can be converted into stanchion pockets if required. Four folding lashing eyes with a tensile force of 10 metric tons each, two each on the cranked section and recessed in the floor behind the last axle, round off the package.
Directly below the rear slope, the rear support can be folded down for loading and unloading; the spray flap behind it extends across the entire width and prevents water and dirt from being swirled up.
Fliegl offers a 15-year warranty against rust-through on the hot-dip galvanized and passivated frame. The drum brake axles with twin tires are laser-measured as usual at Fliegl - this ensures low tire wear and reduces fuel consumption. The Trailer Info Center provides data such as axle load and odometer.
The comprehensive LED package consists of multi-chamber taillights with dynamic turn signals, side marker lights, and position and lane departure lights. Two LED work lights at the rear ensure an optimally illuminated working environment at all times; the warning signs are double LED illuminated.
In order to be able to apply for the exemption according to § 70 of the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO), which is necessary for some large-volume and heavy transports, an overall towing certificate is issued when the trailer is picked up in Triptis together with the corresponding tractor unit.
