Fliegl again at the IFAB: open air area, booth 811/16.

On May 30, Messe München opens its doors for IFBA. This time with us? Fliegl Trailer! With an excerpt of its portfolio of waste disposal vehicles, the Thuringian vehicle manufacturer is presenting itself again in the Munich outdoor area at booth 811/16 after a long break from the trade fair.

Fliegl disposal vehicles - up to any challenge!

The Fliegl ZPS 180 A unwinder in Mega Z design will be presented. Containers with a length of up to seven meters find space on the ZPS 180, the maximum payload is up to 14,800 kg with an empty weight of from 3,200 kg. A pneumatic four-point container locking system on the floor ensures safety. The top of the two longitudinal beams is designed as a container roller track and is therefore particularly wear-resistant.

When a roll-off container is too large, smaller drop-off containers are usually used, mainly in the construction and waste disposal industry for bulk materials of all kinds. With the TTS 100/135 AB tandem drop deck trailers, Fliegl naturally has the right trailer in its program. While the TTS 100 AB offers a payload of 8,500 kg with an empty weight of 2,000 kg, the larger TTS 135 AB even has a payload of 11,000 kg with an empty weight of 2,500 kg. The platform length is 4,500 mm in each case, enough for practically all skip containers with a volume of up to 10 cubic meters.

The drop sides are welded to the steel checker plate floor as a trough; there is a robust perforated rail on both sides of the side walls - here the containers can be secured with tension belts. In addition, there are four lashing eyes embedded in the floor, each with a tensile force of 5 tons. Thanks to adjustable locking wedges and adjustable longitudinal guide rails, the trailer can be quickly and easily adjusted to the respective container size to prevent it from slipping longitudinally or laterally. Thanks to the gear support foot at the front and the telescopic rear support, the trailer can also be parked when loaded.

Hardly any vehicle can be used more flexibly than the Fliegl combination platform trailer on display. From roll-off containers with outer or middle roller, skip containers to construction machinery and long material, the combi trailers transport everything and are suitable for a wide range of applications. For example, the standard longitudinal guide rails can be manually removed, divided and relocated, transforming them from push-on aids for roll-off containers into insert stanchions that convert the trailer for transporting long materials in just a few steps.

Seven meters of platform length also provide sufficient space for a wide variety of construction machinery, which can be easily loaded thanks to the low loading height of less than 1,000 mm. The available drive-on ramps are stored in an optional lockable storage compartment at the rear of the trailer, which can be retrofitted with an extension roller. Optimum load securing is helped by the pneumatic four-point container locking system on the floor, which secures roll-off containers by means of a tensioning mechanism with a tensile force of 6000 kg each.

In addition, 16 lashing mushrooms, each with a tensile force of 10 t, and 14 stanchion pockets on each side are fitted as standard. To prevent collision damage during loading and unloading, the light unit and reflectors are integrated into the trailer structure for optimum protection. The drawbar can be positioned particularly low, giving additional freedom when setting down containers.

With an unladen weight starting at 3,700 kg for the 2-axle, the station wagon nevertheless offers a high degree of stability and rolling stiffness, because instead of welded-in beams it is equipped with rolled-in rails. The 2-axle can be loaded with up to 16,300 kg, the 3-axle offers a payload of 18,900 kg.

Not at the trade show, but in the portfolio.

With the ZPS 180 sled trailer , the container is placed on the sled from the rear and pushed forward. Containers and bins with an outer roll of up to seven meters in length can be accommodated on the ZPS 180, and the maximum payload is 15,000 kg with an empty weight of 2,800 kg. A lower loading height and a payload of 14,400 kg, but more possible volume, is offered by the Mega version with twin tires. The unladen weight of the Mega version is 3,600 kg. As with the moving floor trailer, a pneumatic four-point container locking system on the floor ensures safety.

Fliegl's sliding floor trailers are suitable for transporting almost all bulk materials: whether in agriculture for transporting beets, grain or potatoes, in the fuel trade for transporting wood chips and pellets, or waste disposal companies for transporting sewage sludge or glass.

But palletized goods can also be loaded, making the push floor trailers even more versatile. For the floor, Fliegl offers different profile thicknesses, starting with 6-millimeter-thick aluminum, through the heavy-duty floor, to steel floor variants. The particularly highly stressed area in the shake-out zone at the rear is additionally covered with a wear plate. The hydraulic cylinders for the sliding device are installed in the floor, the drive is hydraulic via the truck's power take-off; the driver controls forward or reverse travel via a remote control. The front and side walls of the body are made of hollow aluminum sections. These also contribute to the empty weight of only 7,100 kg; the maximum payload for the standard walking floor trailer is 27,900 kg.

The three-axle walking floor offers a transport volume of 92 cubic meters, but it can be even bigger: as a long truck, the X-tra Long variant can even hold 101 cubic meters. More volume means fewer journeys and therefore reduced fuel costs, as well as protecting the environment and easing road congestion. In addition to the three-axle version, there is also the two-axle variant, whose reduced curb weight saves even more fuel. Fewer axles, less weight, less diesel, plus low wear and operating costs. Twin makes sense!

INNOVTAING FOR YOU - More than just a slogan.

Fliegl already pays attention to sustainability in the production of trailers and semi-trailers for construction, freight forwarding and logistics. For example, design, production, and assembly take place at a central location; CO2-emitting intermediate plant transports over long distances are eliminated. For its modern trailer plant in Thuringia, Fliegl shows a positive energy balance - the electricity production is higher than the company's own consumption. Fliegl operates a combined heat and power plant and has installed large-scale photovoltaic systems; heating is provided by wood chips and waste wood.

The vehicles are painted in a highly efficient, resource-saving facility; energy-intensive baking processes are not necessary. To further reduce energy consumption, Fliegl has invested in pulse welding machines and fiber laser systems, and has completely converted the hall lighting to LED. The new high-bay warehouse feeds used energy back into the cycle. When purchasing vehicle components, Fliegl pays attention to the acceptance of full truck loads, so that deliveries are always made at optimum capacity.

Fliegl's vehicle concepts are based on a sustainable product philosophy. Lightweight construction has a high priority, so that Fliegl achieves top values for trailer weight - to the benefit of payload and CO2 emissions. The Fliegl Quick Lock System generates an aerodynamic plus for curtainsider trailers. It does not require any protruding locking buckles, resulting in a completely flat curtain surface. Tipper trailers from Fliegl are built with an aerodynamic conical trough as standard and with Curved Chassis, which has a round, extremely flat frame neck - the tipper does not protrude above the tractor. Wind deflectors and the innovative membrane rear wall also reduce drag. Only Fliegl adjusts the track of all trailers individually and precisely by laser - for less rolling resistance and less tire wear. Fliegl's twin curtainsiders with two axles significantly reduce fuel consumption and toll costs compared to triple-axle trailers.

Ecology and sustainability - Fliegl Trailer is serious. For its holistic approach to resource efficiency, Fliegl Trailer was awarded the German Sustainability Award 2016.
