With an unladen weight of 5,228 kilograms, the ZHKS saves on empty journeys on the way back from a construction site. Whether the semi-trailer is to be coupled to a two-axle or three-axle tractor unit is irrelevant, as Fliegl installs a horizontally adjustable kingpin mount.
Body and rear wall
The side panels of the payload-optimised round body are made of 4 millimetre thick wear-resistant steel; the floor is 4 millimetres thick in the front area and 5 millimetres thick in the more heavily loaded dumping zone. Thanks to its conical shape - the Greenline body is 8 centimetres wider at the rear than at the front - no load gets stuck. This is also ensured by the absolutely smooth surface without stops in the rear area. Thanks to the heat-resistant rubber seal, the membrane flap is virtually watertight, ideal for moist bulk goods. The tailgate can be opened hydraulically and has a particularly large opening at the top; a grain pusher has also been fitted in the centre.
Axles
If the tractor's drive axle loses traction on wet, muddy construction sites, the starting aid comes into play: the first axle is designed as a lift axle, which can be raised up to 30 per cent above the axle load. From a speed of 25 km/h, the axle automatically lowers again. The ZHKS 350 rolls on SAF off-road disc brake axles, which are laser-measured and perfectly adjusted at the factory. This ensures low rolling resistance, low fuel consumption and less tyre wear. The aluminium rims contribute to the low unladen weight.
Swivelling and folding standing platform
Manually opening and closing a roller tarpaulin is inconvenient, and climbing up with a ladder can be dangerous. There is always a risk of falling and injury, and not just in wet and snowy conditions. Fliegl has therefore developed the swivelling and folding S.T.E.P platform, which makes climbing up to the skip easier and much safer.
Unlike a ladder, the platform cannot slip away, and the steps are covered with non-slip chequer plate - guaranteeing grip even in wet, icy and snowy conditions. The special shape and fastening ensure easy access to the supply connections from both sides; the platform can be mounted on the left or right. It only weighs around 60 kilograms more than a standard standing platform and roller tarpaulin, but offers a big plus in work safety and easy handling.
Electric canopy
The electric fliptop sliding tarpaulin also scores points with clever details: the guide rail is 1 metre longer than on similar tarpaulins, which ensures greater stability; in addition, there is only one steel cable or guide roller for operation - this prevents the tarpaulin from running askew and getting caught. Thanks to the electric drive and radio remote control, there is no need for tedious manual opening and closing. What's more, air resistance is reduced when the tarpaulin is closed and the wind can no longer catch on the rear wall flap when the body is empty - which also saves fuel.
Useful details
Like every Fliegl vehicle, the ZHKS 350 StoneMaster also offers well thought-out details, which above all ensure the long service life of the tipper semi-trailer: For example, the upper belt is manufactured to be particularly robust, so if the excavator or wheel loader does hit something when loading, the skip remains in shape - expensive repairs are no longer necessary.
The underride guard folds in pneumatically at the touch of a button. The tipping joint of the skip is lubricated ex works with copper paste, which adheres much longer than conventional grease. All supply connections as well as the bucket and brush are easily accessible at the front of the vehicle. After unhitching, standard cross struts on the 24-tonne two-speed support winch ensure stability. Until the next job, the hydraulic hose is parked in its holder and does not lie on the ground - this keeps the coupling clean.
Safety
Good lighting contributes to greater safety, not only in the dark season. Two protected LED headlights at the rear illuminate the rear working area; the multi-chamber rear lights with dynamic indicator, side marker lights as well as position and lane departure lights are also fitted in LED design. The aluminium hook-on ladder with "safety plus" also ensures greater work safety. The tyre pressure monitoring system in accordance with ECE R 141 supplies the tyre pressure to a display in the cab.
Durability
Fliegl offers a 10-year guarantee against rusting through on the painted frame. The arms of the air suspension mounts also last longer than those of other manufacturers. They are located at the lowest point of the vehicle and are constantly exposed to dirt and moisture. Fliegl is therefore the only manufacturer to galvanise the air suspension arms and also offers a 10-year anti-rust guarantee.
